Stake bonus code
How the Stake bonus code works, how to claim the welcome offer step by step, and the races, raffles, challenges and sports promotions that run after you sign up.
How a Stake bonus code works
A Stake bonus code (Stake also calls it a referral or promo code) is a short word you enter when you create your account. It tells Stake which offer to attach to your new account. The current welcome offer is shown in the offer card on this page, and if it needs a code, the code is shown there too.
Three things are worth knowing up front:
- The code only works at sign-up. It goes in the optional code field on the registration form. Adding one later is usually not possible, so enter it before you finish registering.
- The offer is tied to your first deposit. Most welcome offers activate with a qualifying deposit made after sign-up, not with the code alone. Stake does not normally run a no-deposit welcome bonus.
- One welcome offer per person. Welcome offers are for new players only, one account per person, household and payment source.
The code and offer work the same on any official mirror, because a mirror is the same site at a different address. If the main site will not open for you, pick a working address from our live mirror list.
How to claim the welcome offer
- Open Stake through the offer button on this page, or through a working address on our mirror list.
- Click Register and fill in your email, username, password and date of birth.
- Open the optional code field and enter the bonus code shown on this page, if one is shown. Check spelling and capitals.
- Accept the terms and confirm your email.
- Complete any verification Stake asks for. Some offers need a verified account before they can be activated.
- Make your first deposit in a supported coin. Our guides for Bitcoin, Litecoin and USDT cover networks and confirmation times.
- Activate the offer in the cashier, the promotions page or the offer notification, depending on how the current offer is set up. Some offers must be activated before you place your first bet.
If the offer does not appear, contact live chat before you start playing. Once you have wagered your deposit, it is often too late to attach a bonus.
Ongoing Stake promotions
Stake is better known for its ongoing promotions than for its welcome offer. These run every day or week for every player, no code needed. Prize pools and rules below are widely reported figures that change; the promotions page in your account shows the current version.
Daily race
A 24-hour leaderboard based on how much you wager on casino and sports. The prize pool is widely reported at around $100,000 per day, shared across thousands of places, and the race resets at a fixed time each day (reported as 00:00 UTC). No opt-in is needed: every qualifying bet counts.
Weekly raffle
You earn raffle tickets for wagering, commonly reported as one ticket per $1,000 wagered, and a draw each weekend picks the winners. The pool is widely reported at around $75,000 split among a small number of winners. Prizes are paid as cash, with no wagering, according to reported terms.
Casino challenges
Challenges set a target on a named game, such as hitting a certain multiplier on a slot with a minimum bet. The first players to hit the target win a fixed prize. There is no leaderboard: either you hit it while the challenge is open, or you do not.
Multiplier drops and provider promotions
Stake runs drops, races and tournaments with game studios, for example multiplier drops where hitting a set multiplier earns a fixed reward, or monthly prize pools on selected studio games. These come and go, so check which ones are live.
Sportsbook promotions
Around major football, basketball, tennis and esports events, Stake runs sports offers such as early payout when your team goes a set number of goals ahead, bet insurance on selected markets, and odds boosts. Each has its own rules on qualifying markets, minimum odds and maximum stake.
Streams, forums and Telegram
Stake also hands out small codes and prizes through its forum, social channels and VIP Telegram. Be careful: scammers copy these channels. Only trust codes posted on Stake's own verified accounts.
Wagering requirements explained
A wagering requirement is the amount you have to bet before bonus money, or winnings from it, can be withdrawn. It is usually written as a multiple, such as 40×, of the bonus, or of the deposit plus bonus. Our glossary has a full definition.
A worked example with round numbers: a $100 bonus at 40× the bonus means $4,000 of bets before withdrawal. If the requirement is 40× deposit plus bonus on a $100 deposit with a $100 bonus, it becomes $8,000. The same headline offer can be twice as demanding depending on that wording.
Wagering also has a cost. With a 1% house edge, $4,000 of bets has an expected loss of about $40; on a slot with a 4% edge, about $160. The bonus is worth something only if it is larger than that expected cost, and short-term results can be much worse than average.
Terms to check before you deposit
- Minimum deposit: the smallest deposit that qualifies for the offer. Deposits below it get nothing.
- Maximum bonus: the cap on the bonus, regardless of deposit size.
- Wagering multiple and base: whether it applies to the bonus only or to deposit plus bonus.
- Game contribution: slots usually count fully; table games, live casino and some Originals may count less or not at all.
- Maximum bet: a cap per bet while the bonus is active. Breaking it can void the bonus.
- Expiry: how many days you have to complete wagering.
- Withdrawal rules: whether withdrawing early cancels the bonus and its winnings.
- Excluded countries and coins: offers can be limited by region or currency.
VIP rewards versus bonuses
For regular players, the VIP programme usually matters more than a one-off welcome offer. VIP rewards (rakeback, level-up bonuses, weekly and monthly bonuses, reloads) build up over time and most have no wagering requirement, though amounts depend on your activity and level.
The trade-off: a welcome offer gives a known value once, with rules attached; VIP rewards give a small share back on everything you wager. Neither changes the house edge. Our Stake VIP guide explains levels and rakeback in detail, and our Stake review covers the rest of the site.
Using bonuses sensibly
Promotions are designed to keep you playing. Decide your budget before you claim anything, and do not deposit more to unlock a bigger bonus or wager more to climb a race. If a promotion pushes you past what you planned, skip it. Our responsible gambling guide shows how to set deposit limits on Stake.
FAQ
Do I need a bonus code for Stake?
Only if the current offer uses one. If a code is shown on this page, enter it in the optional code field when you register. Ongoing promotions such as the daily race and weekly raffle need no code.
Can I add a Stake bonus code after signing up?
Usually not. The code field is part of the registration form, and Stake generally cannot attach a welcome code to an existing account. Contact live chat straight away if you forgot, before you deposit or bet.
Does Stake have a no-deposit bonus?
Stake does not normally run a no-deposit welcome bonus. Small free prizes do appear through forum and social giveaways, races and raffles. Be wary of sites promising large no-deposit codes.
Can I claim the welcome bonus more than once?
No. Welcome offers are for new players only, one account per person. Opening extra accounts breaks the terms and can lead to all accounts being closed.
Does the bonus work on Stake mirrors?
Yes. Official mirrors are the same site at a different address, so codes, offers, balances and VIP progress work the same. Use a trusted mirror list to avoid phishing copies.
How do the daily race and weekly raffle work?
The daily race ranks players by amount wagered over 24 hours and pays a prize pool across the top places. The weekly raffle gives tickets for wagering and draws winners at the weekend. Current pools and rules are on the promotions page.
Where can I see my active bonuses?
Check the cashier, the promotions page and your VIP section after logging in. Wagering progress for an active bonus is shown there. Live chat can confirm the status if you are unsure.
Do bonuses have wagering requirements?
Welcome offers usually do; check the multiple, the base it applies to, game contribution, maximum bet and expiry. Many ongoing prizes such as raffle winnings and rakeback are reported as paid without wagering.
