Is Stake legal in Armenia?
Online gambling in Armenia is legal only through operators licensed under the Law on the Regulation of Gaming Activities, adopted in 2024 and supervised by the State Revenue Committee (SRC). Licensed sites must sit on the .am domain, and the law treats a platform outside it as foreign. Stake is not licensed in Armenia, although its own terms do not list Armenia as a prohibited jurisdiction.
The minimum age is 21 for casino and online games. In June 2026 Parliament also passed amendments that bar people living on social benefits or pensions alone, people in bankruptcy and heavily indebted people from online games of chance, cap other players' total wagers at 20% of annual income, and require a visible self-exclusion button that works across platforms. Advertising foreign gambling sites in Armenia is already banned.
From 8 February 2027, Armenia will block unlicensed gambling sites. An interdepartmental commission will draw up a list, internet providers must cut access to the sites on it, and the Central Bank will stop payments to them. Stake has no Armenian licence, so it could well be on that list, and this page will be reviewed when the date arrives.
The measures we reviewed target operators, advertisers, providers and banks, not adults placing a bet. This is general information, not legal advice. Follow Armenian law as it changes and respect Stake's terms.
Why Stake may not load in Armenia
Until 8 February 2027, Armenian providers such as Team Telecom, Viva and Ucom are not under a general duty to block foreign gambling sites, so when Stake.com fails to load it is usually a slow route, a DNS hiccup on a home router, a filtered office network or a domain Stake has rotated out.
For those everyday problems a mirror helps. A mirror is the same Stake platform on another address, with the same account and balance. The list on this page is timed from your own browser, so the fastest address on your connection appears first, and Is Stake down? tells you whether the platform itself is having trouble.
Once the blocking mechanism starts, a mirror is not a way round a regulator's order. If Stake is listed, you are expected to follow Armenian law; we will not suggest workarounds. Do not use a VPN to change your apparent location: Stake's terms forbid it and accounts can be closed and funds withheld.
How to open Stake in Armenia with a mirror
- Open this page and wait a few seconds while every mirror is tested from your connection in Armenia.
- Pick the mirror marked with an asterisk: it answered fastest on the last check.
- Check that the address bar shows exactly the host from the list and a valid HTTPS padlock.
- Log in with your usual Stake account. Balance, history and VIP progress are the same on every mirror.
- If it stops loading later, come back here instead of searching: the list is re-tested on every visit.
Payments in Armenia
Armenians pay with ArCa and international cards and with local wallets such as Idram and Telcell, but those channels run through Armenian banks and payment institutions, and the 2027 mechanism tells the Central Bank to stop transfers to listed gambling sites. Stake players in Armenia mostly use crypto: USDT, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and USDC can be deposited and withdrawn directly. Our guides to depositing USDT and depositing Bitcoin explain network choice and fees.
Buy coins only on a reputable exchange or an escrowed peer-to-peer market, and send a small test amount first. A dollar-pegged stablecoin avoids dram swings between deposit and withdrawal. If the cashier shows a card or wallet on-ramp, treat it as a convenience that may disappear in 2027. Set the display currency to AMD if it is offered.
Remember the 20% of annual income cap set in June 2026: it is aimed at platforms, but it is also a sensible ceiling for your own play. Tax treatment of offshore winnings and crypto gains is not clear-cut; this is not tax advice.
Popular sports and games in Armenia
Football is the biggest betting sport: the Premier League, La Liga, the Champions League and Russian Premier League draw the most action, and the Armenian Premier League has Pyunik, Ararat-Armenia, Noah and Urartu. Chess is a national passion, and Armenian players at Olympiads and elite tournaments have a big following, along with wrestling, weightlifting, boxing, basketball and UFC.
On the casino side, slots and live tables are popular, as are fast Originals such as Dice, Limbo and Crash. Armenia is on Armenia Time (UTC+4) all year, so Champions League nights finish around 01:00 in winter. Stake shows decimal odds by default, which is what Armenian bookmakers use.

FAQ
Is Stake legal in Armenia?
Stake's terms do not exclude Armenia, and Armenian law targets unlicensed operators rather than players. Stake has no Armenian licence, and from 8 February 2027 unlicensed sites can be blocked by internet providers and banks. This is not legal advice.
Will Stake be blocked in Armenia?
Possibly. From 8 February 2027 internet providers must block sites on an official list of unlicensed operators, and the Central Bank will stop payments to them. Stake is not licensed in Armenia, so it may be listed.
What is the gambling age in Armenia?
21 for casino and online games. Stake's own minimum is 18, but players in Armenia must meet the national age.
Can I deposit at Stake with Idram or an ArCa card?
Not reliably. Local cards and wallets run through Armenian banks and payment institutions, which must stop payments to listed sites from 2027. Most players deposit crypto bought on an exchange.
Do I need a new account to use a Stake mirror?
No. A mirror is the same Stake platform on another address, so your login, balance and history are identical. Mirrors help with routing problems, not with getting round a regulator's block.
