Stake El Salvador
El Salvador regulates online gaming through its National Lottery, which also runs the state brand DALE.SV, and in September 2026 it brought in technology to spot unlicensed sites. Here is what that means for Salvadorans using Stake.com, which mirrors work and how to fund an account.

Is Stake legal in El Salvador?
The Ley Orgánica de la Lotería Nacional de Beneficencia (Legislative Decree 251, December 2021) gave the National Lottery (LNB) power to regulate games and sports predictions in every form, including online, and its 2022 regulation lists online games among the regulated products. Operators need prior LNB authorisation; unauthorised operators, including foreign ones offering games online, are not permitted. The LNB also runs its own online sports betting and casino brand, DALE.SV, the locally authorised option.
In September 2026 the LNB announced a partnership with Sharp Vision to monitor licensed operators in real time, detect unlicensed gambling offers and gather evidence for enforcement. The announcement did not describe website blocking, and so far offshore sites remain reachable. Stake is not licensed by the LNB, and its own terms do not list El Salvador as a prohibited jurisdiction. The law targets operators; we found no offence for an adult who bets with a foreign site.
The minimum age is 18.
This is general information, not legal advice. With the LNB stepping up monitoring, rules and enforcement may change; follow Salvadoran law and Stake's terms.
Why Stake may not load in El Salvador
El Salvador has no gambling block list today, and the LNB's new monitoring platform is aimed at detecting unlicensed offers rather than switching them off. When Stake.com fails to load, the usual cause is a slow route, DNS trouble on a home router, a filtered workplace or school network, or a domain Stake has rotated out.
A mirror is the same Stake platform on another address, with your login, balance and history unchanged. The list on this page is timed from your own browser, so the address that responds fastest on your connection appears first. Our guide to why Stake mirror domains change explains why addresses come and go.
If El Salvador starts blocking unlicensed sites, mirrors are not a way around that, and you must follow the law. Do not use a VPN to hide your location; Stake's terms forbid it and accounts can be closed.
How to open Stake in El Salvador with a mirror
- Open this page and wait a few seconds while every mirror is tested from your connection in El Salvador.
- Pick the mirror marked with an asterisk: it answered fastest on the last check.
- Check that the address bar shows exactly the host from the list and a valid HTTPS padlock.
- Log in with your usual Stake account. Balance, history and VIP progress are the same on every mirror.
- If it stops loading later, come back here instead of searching: the list is re-tested on every visit.
Payments in El Salvador
El Salvador is unusual: it uses the US dollar and made Bitcoin legal tender in 2021. A 2025 reform agreed with the IMF made accepting Bitcoin voluntary for businesses and began winding down the state Chivo wallet, but Bitcoin remains legal and widely understood. Many Salvadorans already hold Bitcoin through a wallet or an exchange registered with the National Digital Assets Commission (CNAD). From there, depositing to Stake is a normal on-chain transfer; see our Bitcoin deposit guide.
Stake deposits use the main blockchain rather than Lightning, so if your wallet holds Lightning funds, move them on-chain or through an exchange first. Many players prefer USDT or USDC, which track the dollar you already spend; see our USDT deposit guide. Set the display currency to USD.
Local cards are often declined for offshore gambling. Tax on offshore winnings and crypto gains is not straightforward; this is not tax advice.
Popular sports and games in El Salvador
Football leads. Primera División clubs Alianza FC, FAS, Águila and Isidro Metapán draw the most local bets, along with La Selecta in Concacaf. Many fans follow Liga MX, LaLiga, the Premier League and MLS, and boxing and the NBA have a following.
On the casino side, players try slots, live roulette and Stake Originals such as Mines and Crash. El Salvador is on Central Standard Time (UTC-6) all year, so European weekend matches kick off in the morning. Stake shows decimal odds by default; American odds are available if you prefer them.
